We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately picking orders, assembling them for shipment, and ensuring the quality and integrity of products before they leave our facility. This role is crucial to our daily operations and plays a key part in our supply chain. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to meet performance targets. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. We emphasize safety in all our operations, and adherence to safety protocols is paramount. This position involves frequent lifting and requires the use of appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using a handheld scanner or order sheet.
- Verify product counts and match them against order specifications.
- Package items securely and safely for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to the shift supervisor promptly.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
