We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Washington, D.C. This role requires a blend of technical aptitude and hands-on warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be instrumental in maintaining the operational integrity of our warehouse equipment and systems, ensuring smooth logistics flow. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and assisting with general warehouse tasks. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyor belts, forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Repair or coordinate repairs for warehouse machinery.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Support general warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, and shipping.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations.
- Properly use and maintain PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of logistics operations through technical expertise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Experience with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require bending, stooping, and occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
