What you will do
We are currently seeking an experienced and patient-focused Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) with Interventional Radiology experience to join a dynamic healthcare team. This role places a strong emphasis on direct patient treatment, procedural support, and collaboration with physicians during minimally invasive interventional procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, confident in a fast-paced procedural environment, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Interventional Radiology Tech Summary of Job Duties:
* Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures, including vascular and non-vascular treatments.
* Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort and safety.
* Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment to provide real-time imaging guidance during direct treatment procedures.
* Scrub and circulate during interventional procedures as required by department protocols.
* Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety practices, sterile technique, and infection control standards.
* Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition.
* Prepare contrast media, supplies, and equipment needed for interventional cases.
* Accurately document procedures, patient care, and imaging data in the electronic health record (EHR).
* Perform equipment quality control checks and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
* Ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations, hospital policies, and accreditation standards.
* Participate in ongoing education and training related to interventional radiology practices and technology advancements.
Qualifications:
* Minimum one (1) year of experience in Interventional Radiology or as an RT with hands-on IR experience in a hospital or acute care setting
* Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology
* ARRT Certification (R); (VI) preferred but not required
* California Department of Public Health (CRT)
* California Fluoroscopy Permit (required)
* Current CPR/BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
* Proof of required Continuing Education Units (CEUs), if applicable
* Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccinations or titers
* Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 months
* Current Annual Health Clearance
* Reliable source of transportation
