The Sales Rep performs comprehensive sales, marketing, and account management activities, with an emphasis on increasing territory sales volume and growth within assigned territory. This individual must strategically plan and execute a comprehensive set of marketplace initiatives in order to build brand development and maximize brand performance. They must have the ability to develop strong customer relationships that drives customer satisfaction. They will be expected to contribute to the overall team effectiveness and engagement resulting in exceeding expectations of the team's goals. This position will be based out of the employee's home office. This role's sales territory covers Southern Texas including San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Corpus Christi, TX. It is preferred the candidate lives in or is willing to relocate to San Antonio or Austin, Texas. Travel for this role is up to 50% and this includes overnight travel of 2-3 days per week. Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Responsibilities
Develop and execute growth plans for assigned strategic and key accounts within territory. Develop and execute annual and bi-annual territory business plan to ensure proper focus and business analysis to deliver on sales and profit goals based upon opportunity management process. Responsible for influencing and negotiation new customer sales conversion identified in the business planning process. Provide proper sales placement execution to exceed goals utilizing the strategic selling process. Deliver on both national branded and customer driven promotions within the sales region. Provide quarterly market, pricing, and competitive trends within the territory while communicating customer, consumer and category insights. Responsible for providing customer business solutions and retention of existing business by developing working relationships with customer, including upper management; and performs related account management activities. Drive and implement all training initiatives including brand, color, product, technical, and innovation. Initiate the successful launch and implementation of new product and program rollouts to drive incremental sales. Ensure timely management of customer information and communication utilizing the Division CRM sales tool to ensure proper sales funnel growth and sales legacy recording. Perform other duties as assigned. Utilizing solid financial acumen, optimize product mix through sales training to drive profitability. Control expenses including travel, expense, and all company resources. Foster a safety minded culture through the development and implementation of safe working, driving and operating procedures. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Must be at least twenty one (21) years of age. Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1, etc.). Must have High School Diploma or GED. Must have a valid unrestricted driver's license. Must have at least 3 years of work experience in outside sales. Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales. Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be willing to travel as required for this position. If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal. If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must be in role for 1 year or more, or have manager approval to proceed. Preferred Qualifications: Have a bachelor's degree or higher in sales or marketing. Able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in Spanish. Have at least five (5) years of work experience in outside sales. Have experience in selling to retail stores, distributors and contractor outlets in the building supply, hardware and DIY market. Have at least three (3) years of experience successfully managing an outside territory. About Us
