Job title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Long Term Care (LTC)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our long term care facility. The ideal candidate will work alongside our Physical Therapists to provide top-quality rehabilitation services to our elderly residents. As a PTA in the LTC setting, you will play a crucial role in helping our patients improve their mobility, reduce pain, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents
• Provide hands-on therapy to help patients improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue improving outside of therapy sessions
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the therapy team
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each patient

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current PTA license in the state of practice
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with elderly populations preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
