Construction Controller

Job Summary
Garcia Civil Contractors has an opening for a Construction Controller / Construction Accountant with Heavy Civil Construction experience. Candidate should have the following experience:

Duties

• Run weekly financial reporting to determine vendor and subcontractor payments
• Monthly reconciliations.
• Oversee job cost reporting and project profitability analysis along with Project Managers.
• Track budgets, change orders, WIP schedules, and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Coordinate with external CPAs for audits, reviews, and tax filings.
• Manage AP/AR Specialists.
• Provide AD HOC reports to Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Accounting experience in the civil/roadway construction industry – FDOT experience required.
• Strong knowledge of construction job costing and WIP reporting.
• Proficiency in construction accounting software preferably ComputerEase.
• Experience with Audit, Bonding, Lender, Insurance and Payroll Reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in a controller-level or supervisory role

Pay: $50, $54,000.00 per year
