DSP (Direct Support Professional)

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Monitor and record vital signs and health status of individuals
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Engage individuals in social activities and provide emotional support
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals
- Document all care provided accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred (e.g., nurse, social work, assisted living, nursing home)
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus
- Ability to administer medications following proper protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
