Job Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver Float provides direct care within residential group homes in Eugene/Springfield and will provide support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).
This is a full time, permanent position.

This position requires a dependable candidate who is flexible in their schedule, works well independently, and has exceptional communication and decision-making skills. Float DSPs are adaptable and will have the necessary skill set to be able to work at multiple homes.

What You'll Do

  • Provide client care in a float capacity for schedules, emergencies, or fill-in assignments at designated residential homes (schedule for shifts subjected to change based on needs of programs, however schedules are given two weeks in advance.)
  • Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Provide companionship and personalized care with respect and dignity while encouraging independence and self-care.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
