We're looking for friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic Play Baristas to join our cafe team This position focuses on preparing delicious beverages and food items, delivering top-notch customer service, and supporting the overall guest experience in our unique play cafe setting.

Key Responsibilities

Barista & Cafe Duties

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages
• Heat and serve food items at our cafe counter
• Operate our Point of Sale (POS) system to complete purchases accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked café area
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards

Customer Service & Guest Experience

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming, friendly environment
• Check in families and provide information about our play cafe offerings
• Educate guests on admission options, memberships, birthday parties, specialty classes, and food and beverage menu
• Ensure all guests — adults and children — have a comfortable and enjoyable visit

Support Facility Upkeep

• Assist with general cleanliness across all areas, including the cafe, play areas, seating areas, and restrooms
• Occasionally support the Play Guide team in light play area supervision and cleaning
• Participate in special events and help create a fun, safe atmosphere for all guests

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista required
• Friendly, approachable, and confident in guest-facing roles
• Able to multitask, stay organized, and adapt to a dynamic environment
• Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs
• Weekend availability required

Salary: $16.00 to $18.00/hour (based on experience) + tips
