Salary: This is a full-time 12 month position at 232 days with an annual starting salary of $67,158.00.
Primary Purpose
This role balances support and maintenance of ESC Region 13's online learning catalog, content creation, curation, and instructional design with hands-on production responsibilities to create learner experiences.
By consulting with subject matter experts and collaborating with our design and multimedia teams, this position will help produce professional development resources and high-quality online learning experiences for educators across Texas. Some projects will begin as a curated list of content opportunities, while others may require independent research to conceptualize and produce content.
Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, And Certificates)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field
- Three or more years of experience in education or content development for adult learning
- Three or more years of experience supporting or building self-paced online learning
Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Education, And Certificates)
- Familiarity with instructional design principles and adult learning theory
- Canvas LMS experience
- K-12 teaching or coaching experience
- Experience using AI tools to support content creation, research, and workflow efficiency
Knowledge / Skills
- Proven understanding of pedagogy for adult learners
- Well-developed ability to manage project details, time, tasks, and priorities
- Understanding of Zoom and other live, virtual learning environments
- Appreciation for how multimedia can enhance the learning experience
- Familiarity with multimedia tools, basic editing, and production workflows
- Demonstrated comfort working across teams and departments
- Effective communication and writing skills
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability
- Understanding of TEA priorities and Texas K-12 data landscapes
Major Responsibilities
- Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
- Maintain and update existing course catalog including content quality assurance, link validation, accessibility checking, and other year over year maintenance for evergreen courses
- Support Canvas learners and contribute to shared inbox technical support
- Consult with subject matter experts to identify and prioritize content opportunities based on data and educator needs
- Produce self-paced online learning experiences in Canvas, aligned to adult learning best practices
- Coordinate content development workflows, keeping SME input light while ensuring quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with instructional design, graphic design, video, and product development teams to enhance learning experiences
- Work with the Center Support team and other stakeholders to identify marketable and high-impact learning offerings
- Support the coordination and delivery of live and streamed professional learning through online platforms
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and demonstrate a customer service mindset
- Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may coordinate with contractors or creative staff

Equipment Used
- Typical office equipment (computers, AV, printers, copiers, etc.)
- Video production and streaming equipment, including PTZ cameras, camera controllers, basic video switchers, and audio interfaces/microphones
- Computer hardware and software for live streaming and light post-production
