Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our grocery store, ensuring a high level of customer service and efficient management of staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be organized, and have a passion for the grocery retail industry.

Duties

• Assist in managing daily store operations, including inventory management and merchandising.
• Supervise staff, providing training and support to ensure excellent customer service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain cash handling procedures.
• Conduct interviews and participate in the recruiting process to build a strong team.
• Implement effective organizational strategies to enhance store efficiency.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with professionalism.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures as well as health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on payroll processing and employee scheduling.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Experience in interviewing, recruiting, and training staff members.
• Proficiency in cash handling procedures and financial transactions.
• A positive attitude with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
