 Full-Time, Salaried (Equivalent to $52/hour; Non-Exempt for overtime purposes)

Position Summary

The Infusion Nurse provides exceptional nursing care within OWM's integrative infusion center. This role includes preparing and administering a wide range of advanced IV therapies—nutritional, mitochondrial, regenerative, oxidative, oncology-supportive, and wellness-focused—while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education throughout every visit.

The Infusion Nurse collaborates closely with medical providers, maintains clinical readiness, and upholds OWM's high standards of professionalism, communication, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
Infusion Administration & Clinical Care

  • Prepare, start, and monitor IV infusions, including peripheral line placement and troubleshooting.
  • Administer the full spectrum of OWM IV therapies, including:
  • High-dose Vitamin C
  • Curcumin, EGCG, Resveratrol
  • Phosphatidylcholine
  • NAD+
  • Methylene Blue protocols
  • R&R mitochondrial infusion
  • Ozone-based infusions (if certified/trained)
  • Cancer-supportive protocols
  • Assess and monitor patients throughout infusion sessions, documenting vitals, responses, and interventions.
  • Identify and manage infusion reactions promptly according to OWM emergency protocols.

Patient Support & Education

  • Provide warm, attentive patient care aligned with OWM's hospitality-focused clinical experience.
  • Educate patients on infusion purpose, expected sensations, potential side effects, and after-care.
  • Offer support, reassurance, and guidance to anxious or first-time patients.

Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, infection control, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Complete daily safety checklists for infusion rooms, equipment, and medication handling.
  • Prepare infusion solutions accurately according to provider orders and OWM protocols.
  • Uphold privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance at all times.

Flow, Efficiency & Operations

  • Support efficient patient flow by coordinating with the front desk and providers.
  • Ensure all infusion rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked before each session.
  • Assist with inventory management, restocking, and maintaining equipment readiness.
  • Report low-supply levels, equipment concerns, or safety issues promptly.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Medical Director, PA, clinical nurses, and infusion support team.
  • Attend required trainings to maintain competencies for advanced infusion therapies.
  • Participate in team meetings focused on workflow optimization and patient care excellence.

Qualifications
Required

  • Active RN license in good standing.
  • Minimum 1 year of IV experience with strong peripheral IV skills.
  • Ability to place challenging IVs and manage multiple concurrent infusions.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in integrative medicine, functional medicine, or oncology support.
  • Infusion center, ER, ICU, or outpatient procedural experience.
  • Experience with advanced nutritional or regenerative IV therapies.
  • Ozone therapy certification (or willingness to obtain).

Compensation & Schedule

  • Salary equivalent:
     $52 per hour
  • Status:
     Full-time, salaried (non-exempt for overtime)
  • Benefits-eligible position (health, PTO, etc., if applicable to OWM's HR structure).
  • Schedule varies based on clinic needs; may include extended hours or occasional weekends.
