GreenSheen Paint — an Inc. 5000 company and national leader in paint recycling — is seeking a reliable, experienced Warehouse Manager to join our growing team in the Joliet region This is a full-time, on-site leadership position overseeing warehouse operations that support our rapidly expanding nationwide footprint.
About the Position:
The Warehouse Manager will oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory management, order picking, outbound shipments, equipment operation, safety compliance, sanitation, and daily workflow. This role is hands-on and requires someone who can lead a team, maintain structure, and keep operations moving smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
You'll supervise warehouse staff, ensure accurate documentation, maintain warehouse equipment and fleet vehicles, and uphold GreenSheen's high operational and safety standards.
This position plays a vital role in supporting our mission of keeping paint out of landfills and producing high-quality, eco-friendly latex paint.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of warehouse management or related leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, procedures, and best practices.
- Proficiency with inventory systems and inventory controls.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to operate forklifts and related equipment.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to motivate, direct, and develop a warehouse team.
- Capable of working extended hours as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Enforce operational policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain effective and safe use of all warehouse equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and security of the warehouse.
- Manage, train, motivate, and evaluate warehouse staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports.
- Monitor condition and location of fleet vehicles.
- Assist with deliveries or operational needs as required.
