Security Guard

Shift: Swing and Overnight / Weekends Required

Job Description

Bastion Security Services is currently hiring professional and reliable Security Guards to join our growing team. Our security personnel play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our clients' properties and personnel. Site assignments may vary, including but are not limited to apartment complexes, shopping centers, fire-watch posts, and construction sites.

This position is ideal for individuals who are vigilant, dependable, and committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned sites on foot or by vehicle to ensure the security of premises
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other people
• Write detailed incident reports and daily activity logs
• Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Enforce rules, regulations, and policies on-site
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, residents, and the public
• Perform fire-watch duties when required
• Observe and report safety hazards and unusual activity
• Remain alert and prepared to act in emergencies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid state-issued Security Guard License (Required)
• Powers to Arrest certificate (8-hour course)
• Valid Drivers License and clean drive record for sites that require driving
• Previous security experience preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years or older, 21 years or older to drive company car
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned sites

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
