Construction Laborer

We are looking for a Laborer to join our Roads Crew Division

Pay: $23/ hour

Location: Office is located at 4420 Enterprise St, Fremont, California, Jobs will require frequent travel throughout the Bay Area and occasionally outside the Bay Area.

Position Summary

Bjork Construction has an excellent opportunity for a laborer. This is for rural and non-highway work and you will work along side our heavy equipment operators. We are looking for someone who is committed to our team, reliable, honest, and has a great work ethic.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Be flexible on the changing needs of various clients.

• Perform other construction-related duties as required.

Requirements and Abilities

• MUST have the ability to travel throughout the Bay Area with occasional travel outside of the Bay Area.

• Ability to work outside in all seasons.

• Must have a "safety first" attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

• Timely and regular attendance is an essential requirement.

• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand.

• Must be able to physically navigate construction sites, including but not limited to walking on uneven ground, climbing stairs and ladders.

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.

Skills

• Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward collaboration.
• Basic understanding of construction tools and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on diverse tasks across different phases of construction projects.
• Good communication skills for clear interaction with team members and supervisors
  Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining project timelines.

Education and Experience

Highschool Education.

Safety Certifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
