- Set up, program Mectron Qualifier gauging systems including the feed system to sort, and package the product.
- Select products for tests at specified stages in production process, and test products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, characteristics.
- Examines material or product via Mectron Qualifier for surface defects such as cracks, pits, damage, foreign material and incomplete coatings.
- Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.
- Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, containers of parts, or inspection tag. Move rejected parts to the non-conforming area immediately.
- Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Open containers.
- Loads and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
- Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys the load to the destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move the load to the destination.
- Counts, weighs, and record number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheets.
- Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Removes any old labels from empty containers.
- Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and band bundles together.
- Lift heavy objects by hand or with a power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
- Makes simple adjustments or repairs such as realigning belts or replacing rollers.
- Operates an industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
