About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Data Analyst to join our team at University Health. This role is vital in supporting healthcare transformation initiatives by monitoring and evaluating outcome measures related to various projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying quality improvement opportunities, analyzing quantitative data, and assisting in the development of comprehensive reports and presentations. This position requires a proactive individual capable of working independently and collaboratively across departments to achieve organizational goals. The Healthcare Data Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and effective communication of findings to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field such as Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, Public Health, or related disciplines. Prior experience in developing reports and conducting data analysis within a healthcare setting is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including intermediate skills such as data manipulation, pivot tables, and formulas, is required. Familiarity with Access databases and data management tools is also essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary to effectively present findings to diverse audiences. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate outcome measures for healthcare transformation projects to ensure timely and accurate data collection and analysis.
  • Identify ongoing quality improvement issues and opportunities through data analysis and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Access databases to facilitate data retrieval and management.
  • Perform quantitative data analysis to support project goals, including utilization of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather relevant data, interpret findings, and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in preparing detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Support the development of strategic plans and quality improvement initiatives by providing accurate and timely data insights.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
