Our client is a 5-star hotel in Los Angeles County, renowned for delivering exceptional hospitality and fine dining experiences. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead their dining operations and uphold their premium standards of service.
Position Overview:
The Restaurant Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining team efficiency and service standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can create a welcoming environment, manage staff, and maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years restaurant management in a hotel or freestanding restaurant.
- Proven experience managing a fine dining restaurant or high-end hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive, guest-focused environment.
- Experience with POS systems (TOAST preferred) and reservation management (OpenTable preferred).
- Knowledge of inventory management, staff training, and operational procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the highest level of service standards and create a warm, hospitable environment for guests and team members.
- Manage scheduling, floor operations, and daily staff activities.
- Maintain discipline and adherence to service standards.
- Supervise day-to-day operations during scheduled shifts, including employee training, guest interaction, planning, and performance monitoring.
- Conduct weekly and monthly inventories, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel, recommending measures to improve work procedures and employee performance.
- Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and maintained through regular inspections and preventative maintenance programs.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, waste removal, and pest control services as needed.
- Collaborate with staff to meet guest needs and support restaurant operations.
- Fill in for team members when necessary to maintain service standards.
- Ensure compliance with all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, and training programs.
- Provide responsive, courteous, and friendly service to all guests.
- Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of shifts or days.
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
- Ensure proper receipt of all products and adherence to receiving policies and procedures.
- Prepare and organize all required paperwork, reports, and schedules in a timely manner.
- Comply with federal, state, county, and municipal regulations regarding health, safety, and labor requirements.
- Assist in labor scheduling, ensuring positions are staffed appropriately while meeting labor cost objectives.
- Assign duties, responsibilities, and workstations to employees according to work requirements.
- Follow LQA standards and oversee opening and closing procedures.

reservation systems efficiently.
