Housekeeper

Must have flexible schedule and avaiability on weekends.

Shift is 7:30am-4:00pm.

Housekeepers perform a variety of housekeeping functions in order to provide a safe, sanitary & comfortable environment for residents, visitors and employees. They clean floors and resident rooms, empty trash cans and maintain all housekeeping equipment.

Must be 18 years of age.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Governor's Bend expects their associates to do whatever is necessary to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other associates and hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore, the following lists are not all inclusive.

Essential Duties:

• Dust mop all floors as assigned
• Wet mop all floors as assigned
• Vacuum floors as needed
• Sweep outside entrance ways
• Clean windows (inside and outside) as needed
• Dust and disinfect all surfaces
• Dust mop under resident's furniture
• Empty trash cans
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms (resident and public) thoroughly
• Wash all doors in building as assigned
• Dust and arrange furniture
• Clean walls
• Keep housekeeping equipment in good working order and clean
• Report unsafe conditions which may jeopardize residents, visitors and employees
• Become familiar and conform to company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Be considerate and tolerant of aged and disabled persons
• Develop knowledge of facility's operations and physical layout
• Obtain annual skin test as required by state
• Exhibit initiative and willingness to learn

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Although the person in this position sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently throughout the workday, the majority of their time is spent on their feet. The person in this position may lift or carry objects up to 50 lbs. or do frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.
