Service Advisor

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Service Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be the communication link between customers and our technicians. You will greet customers, understand their service needs, create repair orders, coordinate with technicians, order parts, and ensure an exceptional customer experience from drop-off to pickup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and listen to their service concerns in a friendly, professional manner.
• Write and update repair orders with accurate descriptions of customer concerns and requested services.
• Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure all work is performed as requested.
• Provide estimates for labor and parts; obtain customer authorization for repairs.
• Maintain regular contact with customers regarding job status, recommendations, and completion timelines.
• Review completed work with customers and explain invoices clearly.
• Schedule service appointments and manage workflow to maximize shop efficiency.
• Ensure all customer interactions are documented properly in the system.
• Handle warranty claims and service records when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, organized service counter and customer area.
• Deliver excellent customer service to promote repeat business.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Service Writer/Advisor or in a customer service role (preferred).
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems or willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers and service/point-of-sale software.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
