Job Description And Duties
Under the direction of a Senior Transportation Electrical Engineer (Supervisor), the incumbent performs a wide variety of professional electrical engineering work in either an office or a field setting. The incumbent oversees or performs inspections of electrical and construction projects. Under close to limited direction, performs work of high degree of difficulty. Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license when operating state vehicles. This position requires both day and night work. The incumbent will be assigned work based on Divisional and/or Department need and may travel to San Bernardino and/or Riverside counties for assignments.

If you meet MQs under Pattern II and require the TE Electrical in-person written hurdle exam, DO NOT TAKE the TE Electrical online exam prior to passing the written hurdle. Candidates who take the TE Electrical online exam prior to passing the written hurdle may negatively impact their hiring eligibility. Please contact the exam unit at for additional information prior to taking the online examination.
