Design Engineer III
The Design Engineer will develop designs, generate product costing, and launch new products for customers. They will also make improvements to existing products, evaluate manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and ensure reliability of tooling designs. Works with cross functional team to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner and within budget. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish project goals related to new product industrialization. Delivers innovation solutions for product & tool designs for thermoforming and injection molding. Employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent command on English language (Oral & Written). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to use appropriate engineering formulas and calculate the associated solutions to engineering problems. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP Database software, Design and Development software, Solid Works, PDM, AutoCAD, etc., and Project Management software.
