Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Night Manager to oversee operations during evening hours at our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service management experience, and a thorough understanding of restaurant operations, including kitchen management, customer service, and staff supervision. This role is essential in ensuring smooth night-time operations, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and providing exceptional guest experiences.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all night shift activities, including food preparation, service, and cleaning procedures.
- Lead staff training and development initiatives to ensure team members are knowledgeable about food safety, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Monitor food production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Oversee shift management responsibilities including scheduling, staffing levels, and task delegation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the kitchen and dining areas.
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning to optimize restaurant performance.
- Conduct interviews for new staff members and participate in hiring processes to build a competent team.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment conducive to efficient operations during night hours.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service management within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in hospitality or restaurant settings.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, inventory control, and food safety standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
- Ability to train staff effectively in food handling, safety procedures, and operational standards.
- Experience with shift management, team management, and interviewing potential employees.
- Familiarity with culinary practices across various dining formats including fine dining, banquet services, catering, or hotel food services is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently during night shifts.
