Job Description:

The Hospitality General Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations within the facility, ensuring efficiency, productivity, quality control, and regulatory compliance for a fast-growing cannabis company. This role involves managing production teams, optimizing workflows, reducing costs, and driving profitability while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operations & Management:

  • Oversee the entire manufacturing process to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Oversee a team of over 100 at our Forest Park cultivation facility.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Monitor and improve production workflows, supply chain, and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and conduct regular facility inspections.

Financial Performance & Budgeting:

  • Develop, manage, and oversee the facility's budget and financial performance.
  • Analyze production costs, sales data, and revenue streams to maximize profitability.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Work with finance teams to monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Hire, train, and manage production staff, supervisors, and administrative personnel.
  • Set performance goals, monitor progress, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure employees follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.

Production & Supply Chain Management:

  • Oversee inventory control, raw material procurement, and supplier relationships.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and just-in-time (JIT) strategies to optimize efficiency.
  • Work closely with engineering and R&D teams to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Manage equipment maintenance and ensure minimal downtime in production.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal manufacturing regulations.
  • Oversee quality control processes to maintain product standards.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance product consistency.
  • Conduct audits and ensure proper documentation of manufacturing processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations or manufacturing management.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, supply chain management, and logistics.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills with budgeting experience.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, manufacturing software, and process automation tools.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations (OSHA, GMP, ISO standards, etc.).

Preferred Experience (not mandatory):

  • Experience in high-volume or large-scale manufacturing operations.
  • Cannabis industry experience
  • Familiarity with industry-specific manufacturing processes in food, agriculture, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Strong background in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation:

  • Salary of $175k-$225k based on experience
