Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic property management team. This position is assisting the Regional Property Manager so it's an excellent opportunity to train for this type of position in the future. We are seeking an individual that will be assisting in the Arlington and Fort Worth area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative, customer service, and real estate experience to support property operations, enhance tenant relations, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of property management systems and legal frameworks, including LIHTC, Section 8, and Fair Housing regulations. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of property upkeep, tenant satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Duties

  • Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing activities, rent collection, and tenant communications
  • Support property maintenance coordination and facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards
  • Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite for data entry, lease administration, and reporting
  • Handle legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law, contracts, and lease agreements
  • Conduct tenant screenings, coordinate lease signings, and manage move-in/move-out processes with professionalism and adherence to Fair Housing regulations
  • Maintain accurate filing systems for legal documents, contracts, and maintenance records
  • Engage in conflict management to resolve tenant issues effectively while maintaining positive relationships
  • Upsell available services or amenities to tenants to enhance occupancy rates and revenue
  • Assist in compliance monitoring for LIHTC programs and Section 8 housing requirements
  • Support administrative functions including phone etiquette, customer relationship management, and data entry

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles
  • Knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8 programs, Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, and legal documentation procedures
  • Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS systems
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict diplomatically
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience with contracts and leasing agreements
  • Office experience including filing, data entry, and administrative support functions
  • Familiarity with facilities management principles and property maintenance coordination
  • Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid administrative or real estate license preferred; relevant certifications are a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour
