Job Description
We're looking for a forward-thinking Senior Civil Engineer to lead our civil team in Spokane, WA. This is more than a typical engineering role — it's a unique leadership opportunity to shape the future of our Spokane office.

As the local lead for civil engineering, you'll oversee project management, client engagement, staff development, and play a central role in business development. You'll work on high-impact projects while helping grow our presence in the region, backed by the support of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary firm.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead business development initiatives by identifying potential clients, preparing proposals, and fostering relationships to secure projects
  • Attend meetings with clients, jurisdictional agencies, other professionals and organizations
  • Develop engineering solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule and project constraints
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success
  • Mentor aspiring engineers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 5+ years within a consulting environment firm
  • 5+ years leading civil engineering projects
  • Strong leadership, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Well versed in regulatory and permitting requirements
  • Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate with others to explore alternative solutions
  • Comfortable performing in an environment that requires independent evaluation, judgment and decision making
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills including the ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, complex reports and to orally communicate technical information to others
