Job Description

We are seeking a focused, detail-oriented Solder Technician to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you'll assemble and inspect high-quality circuit boards using advanced soldering techniques. Working with both surface mount and through-hole components, you'll help ensure each board meets rigorous standards and supports critical industries.


What You Will Do:

  • Solder surface mount and through-hole components using lead-free and tin-lead solder under a microscope
  • Inspect solder joints, polarity, and placements in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards
  • Review First Article builds and initial runs for accuracy and quality
  • Operate automated and manual equipment, including AOI systems, Hakko machines, and heat wands
  • Perform minor rework and circuit board repair using solder wick and other tools
  • Follow established ESD procedures and all quality control guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace to support production flow
  • Collaborate with engineering and team members to resolve build challenges
  • Support training and mentoring efforts for less-experienced team members
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives
  • Follow detailed work instructions and documentation
  • Take part in team meetings and perform additional tasks as needed

  • What You Will Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Prior experience with electronic assembly or PCB manufacturing preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Able to read and interpret technical documents and assembly drawings
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Dependable, punctual, and consistent in performance
  • Willing to follow PPE and ESD protocols at all times

  • What You Will Experience:

  • Clean, ESD-safe production environment
  • Sit or stand for extended periods while working under a microscope
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for small, repetitive tasks
  • Frequent grasping, reaching, and occasional overhead movement
  • Regular lifting up to 20 lbs; occasional lifting up to 45 lbs with assistance
  • PPE such as gloves, masks, and safety glasses required
  • Exposure to typical manufacturing noise and standard industry chemicals
