FOH Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a memorable and positive dining experience from the moment they arrive. In this vital role, you will manage guest seating, handle reservations, and ensure smooth flow of service. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Manage reservations and waiting lists efficiently using POS systems
• Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant policies
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating arrangements and special requests
• Handle guest inquiries over the phone with proper phone etiquette, providing accurate information and reservations when needed
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience

Requirements

• Previous hosting experience or food service background preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests
• Experience with restaurant POS systems is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills, including patience, attentiveness, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of hospitality standards, guest services, and restaurant operations is highly desirable
• Professional appearance and demeanor, along with strong phone etiquette
