Prep Cook

To prepare each dish with the quality and dedication it deserves and deliver it on time to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat visits. Support the efficient operation of the kitchen through teamwork, coordination, and a proactive attitude.

Job Description

We are looking for a Prep Cook who is responsible, organized, and has solid culinary skills to join our team. This position is essential for the smooth operation of the kitchen, supporting food preparation, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for both the hot and cold lines.
• Prepare sauces, stocks, bases, and perform vegetable prep (cutting, chopping, and portioning).
• Safely operate and maintain kitchen tools and equipment, including knives, ovens, and fryers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation at all times.
• Follow recipes, prep lists, and quality standards consistently.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with the chef and kitchen team in a respectful, team-oriented environment.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Requirements

Flexible availability
Culinary fundamentals:

• Knife skills
• Use of fryers
• Use of oven

Ability to follow directions and instructions from supervisors
Experience with hot and cold line preparation:

• Sauce preparation
• Stock preparation
• Vegetable cutting

Knowledge of FIFO systems and food safety and sanitation standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, or high-volume kitchens.
• Knowledge of food storage and inventory control.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
