Responsibilities
- Assist with climbing towers safely using proper techniques and safety gear to access equipment at various heights.
- Support the installation and maintenance of telecommunication equipment, including antennas, cabling, and low voltage systems.
- Perform fiber splicing tasks to connect fiber optic cables with precision and care.
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to reach elevated work sites efficiently and securely.
- Aid in rigging, cabling, and grounding procedures for new tower builds or upgrades.
- Conduct field service activities such as troubleshooting, testing, and repairing telecommunication systems like 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G networks.
- Follow safety protocols diligently when working with high voltage systems and during climbing or bucket operation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in telecommunications are a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn climbing techniques, rigging procedures, and safety standards for tower work.
- Basic understanding of telecommunication systems such as 3G, 4G/LTE, and emerging 5G technology.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety awareness.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail during cabling, welding, or fiber splicing tasks.
- Physical ability to climb towers safely using appropriate gear; comfort working at heights is essential.
- Valid driver's license; experience operating bucket trucks or similar equipment is advantageous but not mandatory.
