The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness of the facility. The custodian will perform general routine custodial duties in commonly used areas. The custodian is also responsible for keeping inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in common areas throughout office and production spaces including the wiping down of commonly used surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and emptying garbage bins.
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, cafeteria/break rooms and office as necessary.
• Performs limited grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming hedges, picking up debris and clearing snow/ice from sidewalks.
• Performs additional janitorial and light facility maintenance duties as needed, including cleaning windows and doors, wiping down equipment, changing light bulbs, and maintaining restroom air fresheners.
• Operates cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums) and ensures equipment remains in proper working condition.
• Manages inventory for cleaning supplies and equipment and ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
• Uses cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with SDS guidelines.
• Assists in examining the facility for any safety hazards, reports deficiencies to management or Safety Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions, including SDS requirements.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
• Ability to keep the facility clean and orderly.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm
