Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Ensure all food is cooked safely, maintaining strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new grilled dishes and seasonal specials
• Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill station, utensils, and work area throughout each shift
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate supply needs to management
• Serve guests efficiently by ensuring timely delivery of hot, flavorful meals while providing excellent customer service

Experience

• Previous experience working as a grill cook or in a similar kitchen role within the food industry is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation techniques
• Familiarity with fine dining or restaurant environments that emphasize quality and precision
• Proven knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques for grilling and other cooking methods
• Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
