APSI is currently seeking a
Contract Administrator
to support Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) on
various airside and landside projects
, including complex, multi-phase, multi-million-dollar construction and renovation efforts. This position supports an Owner's Agent / Construction Management (CMa) team and reports directly to the
Project Controls Manager
.
The Contract Administrator will perform a broad range of contract administrative duties, including procurements, billings, insurance, badging, compliance, change management, and contract closeout activities. The successful candidate will have proven experience administering commercial and/or government contracts within large-scale construction environments and will play a key role in ensuring contractual compliance, budget control, and effective coordination across multiple stakeholders.
Daily Responsibilities:
Assist LAWA with procurement planning and development of pre-award schedules, including required Board actions
Coordinate and support Pre-Bid and Pre-Proposal Meetings with potential bidders and proposers
Prepare draft RFP/RFB addenda for LAWA review, finalization, and distribution
Prepare draft award recommendations and Board reports
Conform final contract documents and ensure completeness and accuracy
Prepare required reports, correspondence, and documentation
Attend pre-bid, proposal, and post-bid/proposal debrief meetings
Assist in contract standardization efforts
Monitor all aspects of contract compliance
Assist in resolving issues and disputes between contractors and LAWA
Review contractor invoices for contractual and billing compliance
Conduct contract closeout actions, including final audits and payments, under LAWA direction
Coordinate contract changes across the project environment, ensuring proper procedures are followed
Prepare Change Documents and route for required signatures
Track change document status and maintain accurate change logs
Create and distribute change reports and analyses
Support project management teams with effective change management processes and systems
Lead development and maintenance of periodic status reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
Ensure changes properly encumber contract capacity and project budgets
Coordinate with ADP scheduling to assess schedule and time impacts of changes
Assist with implementation of trend and change management support programs
Contribute to the advancement of APSI's goals through productive collaboration with all stakeholders
Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certifications, Clearances, etc.):
Minimum
five (5) years
of experience in administration of commercial and/or government contractsProven experience supporting complex, multi-phase, multi-million-dollar construction projects
Bachelor's degree in
Engineering, Business, or a related fieldTraining in
procurement, contract law, construction law, and commercial lawStrong attention to detail with highly organized work habits
Demonstrated accuracy, reliability, and accountability in prior roles
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to interface effectively with personnel across varying technical and professional backgrounds
Self-starter with a proactive, results-oriented mindset and willingness to assume additional responsibilities
Hardware / Software Knowledge:
Microsoft Office Suite
Adobe Acrobat
Large-scale construction management software (e.g.,
PMWeb, Primavera
, or similar platforms)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with project management and scheduling software
Knowledge of and direct experience with
SBE / DBE / MWBE program coordinationPrior experience on public-sector, aviation, or large infrastructure programs
