Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

Wheeler Dealer is a retail discount grocery and department store. We are in need of responsible people who can follow management directions to assign employees projects and oversee daily operation.

Position Summary: The Shift Supervisor supports the Store Management team through performing daily operations, executing store plans and motivating staff to achieve productivity. The Shift Supervisor assumes responsibility of all store operations when Store Management personnel are out of the store.

Qualifications: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to professionally communicate with customers, staff and management. Bilingual a plus but not required. Must be at least 18 years of age due to equipment use and work environment. 2 or more years of retail/customer service experience required.

Responsibilities: Store is open seven days a week and may require working evenings, weekend, and/or holidays. Leads store operations by example and coaches staff. Manages store operations and visual merchandising standards to ensure a grand opening look and feel to our customers. Resolve customer service related issues, elevating issues to the Store Manager as needed.

Consistent Operations: Demonstrate ability to efficiently and effectively operate the store in absence of the store management team. Executing store opening and closing procedures to company standards. Assist to prepare daily agenda, communicates goals and delegates tasks to staff. Install approved merchandising directives, window displays and signage needs as directed. Partner with management to ensure daily communication is filtered to team in an effective manner. Partner with Store Manager in the training, communication and continued awareness of all policy and procedures including safety and maintenance to ensure compliance and acceptable store operational audit results.
