Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Math Teacher to join our team. As an Online High School Math Teacher, you will create and deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction in a virtual classroom. This role involves developing course materials, hosting live weekly classes (Pacific Time Zone), and maintaining regular communication with students, parents, and staff to ensure each student's success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive, sequential math courses that align with grade-level standards and incorporate project-oriented learning.
• Develop and implement lessons that demonstrate the relevance of math in daily life and its application to real-world problems.
• Develop and implement inquiry-based activities that teach students to think critically.
• Host live weekly classes and assign relevant outside work.
• Create and submit pacing guides for approval before each semester begins.
• Implement diverse instructional strategies to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and grades, and communicate with students and parents.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
• Create a safe and inclusive virtual learning environment.
• Use advanced technology tools to facilitate learning and showcase students' academic projects.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching practices.
• Communicate effectively with the leadership team regarding student progress and any challenges.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (required)
• Teaching Credential (required or in process of renewal)
• Experience teaching live online classes preferred
• Proficiency in navigating online programs with a modern computer and a reliable internet connection
