If you are looking to get people moving, motivated, healthy and having fun, being a fitness instructor at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is the job for you We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic fitness professionals. No experience necessary. Instructor will teach group classes that are energizing, fun, safe and educational. Our instructors help to provide a safe, enjoyable and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The hourly rate is $19.86.

Essential Functions

• Leads energizing, fun, safe and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
• Engage in active listening with members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
• Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA. Have knowledge of class schedules and other departments/services at the YMCA.
