Bar Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bar/Restaurant Manager to lead our daily bar operations, support our team, and help create a fun well-run environment for both staff and guests. Our guests include a mix of local patrons throughout the day and evening, and transitioning into a popular late-night destination for college students.
This role is ideal for someone who can balance strong leadership skills along with great hospitality. This job is fast paced and requires someone who adapts well to a high-energy environment while still maintaining efficiency, consistency, and meeting standards.

• Late nights, some major holidays, and a flexible schedule are required.
• This position includes hourly pay as well as tips.
• Hours vary
• Bar experience is required, including cocktail crafting

Responsibilities

• Bartend and serve as needed during shifts
• Supervise, train, and support staff, including bartenders and servers, to ensure high-quality service and adherence to The Grove standards
• Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and customer interactions
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
• Handle sales transactions accurately using POS systems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with health regulations and The Grove`s standards
• Develop menus and advertisements, including beverage offerings and specials
• Develop Cocktail Menus
• Monitor staff performance through training & development initiatives and conducting interviews for new hires
• Foster a positive team environment that promotes teamwork

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in food service management, restaurant management, or hospitality management with a focus on bar operations
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling
• Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training and team management
• Ability to manage inventory control effectively
• Excellent customer service skills including effective communication
• Knowledge of beverage service including cocktail preparation
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
