Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a clinical setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Will be crossed trained to work front office duties

Duties

• Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures.
• Take and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information.
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
• Perform basic laboratory tests, EKG'S, draw blood
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or office environment.
• Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle billing tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Proficient in medical terminology and medication administration
• Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of basic life support and vital signs monitoring
