Community Program Manager / Staff Therapist

PEER Services ) is a leading nonprofit provider of community-based substance use prevention and treatment services for Evanston, Maine, New Trier, Niles and Northfield Townships, and the north side of Chicago. We have an opening for a talented clinician for both direct clinical work and community program management for our outpatient adult and adolescent treatment team. Enjoy clinical flexibility while working with a team of experienced colleagues. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with at least three years of experience in the field. We are seeking an individual who is innovative, outgoing, flexible, creative, and organized. Must be a team player who also works well independently. Reports to the SUD Treatment Program Director.

Job Duties:

  • Provide psychotherapy, group therapy and case management to a small caseload of adults and adolescent clients (35% productivity)
  • Oversee operations of grant-funded programming, including the Second Changes Program at Skokie Courthouse and The Evanston Living Room
  • Interview, hire, and manage a team of Recovery Support Specialists

· Assist with regular review and updates to program-specific policies and procedures

  • Provide administrative supervision to Recovery Support Specialists
  • In collaboration with the SUD Treatment Program Director, identify and develop partner and referral relationships with external organizations/providers/community groups/individuals
  • Meet monthly with established partners to manage partnership, referrals, and troubleshoot any impediments that arise
  • Oversee grant project implementation and ensure compliance with grant requirements, including budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder coordination
  • Represent PEER during networking and educational opportunities and promote the positive reputation of the organization

· Collect and provide accurate billing, productivity and other data/information for accurate financial record keeping and reporting

· Ensure the SUD Treatment Program Manager is kept abreast of all aspects of program operations

· Work on special projects as assigned by SUD Treatment Program Manager

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience (may include clinical internships)
  • LSW/LPC required
  • LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT strongly preferred
  • CADC, CMADC or CSADC Certification, a plus
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, to set priorities and meet deadlines

· Understanding of the challenges associated with substance use disorders and a commitment to Harm Reduction and Trauma-Informed care with openness to explore 12-Step based facilitation to individualize the treatment experience

· Demonstrated familiarity with Electronic Health Records

· Demonstrated familiarity of Rule 2060, a plus

· Experience with DHS/SUPR, township or private grants, a plus

· Must be able to adjust schedule as needed to meet with community partners and as needed by the program needs

  • Must own a vehicle with insurance and willing to work out of Evanston and travel to program sites and events

· Cannot have been convicted of any felony or had any subsequent incarceration for at least two years prior to the date of employment

Classification, Compensation, Work Schedule, and Benefits:

  • This is a regular, full-time, exempt, 40 hours per week position
  • Compensation is $60K – 75k, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Work hours will be based on the needs of the program and staff availability, with the option to work remote 1-2 days per week after trial period
  • Weekly supervision
