About the Role
As a Service Manager at Vinx Pest Control, you will oversee daily branch service operations, leading your team of technicians to deliver safe, effective, and customer-focused pest control solutions. Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring service quality, driving upsells, managing routes, and maintaining strong customer satisfaction. You will play a hands-on leadership role in hiring, training, and developing technicians, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring compliance with safety and service standards. The Service Manager acts as the key driver of branch performance, balancing operational oversight with field support and customer engagement.
What We Offer
- Earning Potential: $66,000–$100,000+ annually, depending on performance and team size
- Base Salary
- Team Performance Bonuses: Earn monthly overrides based on technician production, service effectiveness, and proof-of-service compliance
- Personal Sales Commissions:
- 20% on Sentricon termite sales
- 10% on liquid termite treatments
- 10% on exclusion work
- Monthly Activity Bonus: $500/month for maintaining consistent field presence and quality checks
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily service operations including scheduling, route efficiency, and workload management
- Maintain a consistent field presence through service stops, quality inspections, and technician ride-alongs
- Lead from the front by producing personal upgrades, with a strong focus on termite (Sentricon) sales
- Coach, train, and hold technicians accountable to production, service quality, and proof-of-service standards
- Conduct routine quality control inspections to reduce re-services and improve customer satisfaction
- Drive upsells and cross-sells while reinforcing professional, customer-focused service
- Track and manage performance metrics including upgrades, production points, service effectiveness, and compliance
- Handle customer escalations and service issues to protect retention and brand reputation
- Ensure services are completed accurately and documented properly to support bonus eligibility
- Collaborate with the Regional Service Manager on branch goals and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in pest control, field services, or a related industry preferred
- Strong understanding of route management, service delivery, and technician coaching
- Proven ability to drive performance metrics, upsells, and service quality
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to balance field leadership with administrative and CRM responsibilities
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Pest control license or ability to obtain licensure (state-dependent) preferred
Physical & Work Environment
- Field-based role with daily visits to customer homes and job sites
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in crawlspaces, attics, and varying weather conditions
- Combination of fieldwork, customer interaction, and administrative duties
