Busser, Food Runner, and Host

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient individual to join our team as a Food Runner and Host. In this versatile role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth food service operations, welcoming guests, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and experience in food service environments such as restaurants, catering, or hotels. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in the food industry while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements as a Host
• Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to tables as a Food Runner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained
• Clear and clean tables efficiently after guests leave, including bussing and resetting for new guests
• Assist with food handling and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to meet health standards
• Support kitchen staff with basic tasks when needed, such as restocking supplies or assisting with food preparation
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow during busy periods

Skills

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality industries is preferred
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Experience with bussing, cleaning, or general restaurant operations is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities
• Hospitality background including hotel experience or food industry knowledge is advantageous
