Diesel Mechanic

Job description:

We are currently seeking self-motivated, experienced Diesel Mechanics for our San Antonio, Texas region.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain gasoline and diesel engines used to power equipment such as portable saws, lawnmowers, weed eaters, blowers, and trimmers.
• Adjust points, valves, carburetors, distributors, and spark plug gaps, using feeler gauges.
• Reassemble engines after repair or maintenance work is complete.
• Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and greasing parts, and tuning ignition systems.
• Must be able to work externally in a variety of different conditions
• Answer service calls promptly

Schedule:

• Minimum 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability
• Overtime

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 year's experience
• Knowledge of vehicle repair
• Experienced in electrical troubleshooting and ability to read schematics
• Understands hydraulic systems, principles, and theory
• Bilingual preferred
• Must hold a valid TX driver's license

Must have proof of good driving history with no major incidents within the last 5 years
