We are looking for energetic and reliable Order Pickers to join our expanding logistics facility in Huntsville, Alabama. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets. This role demands a keen eye for detail to ensure the correct products and quantities are picked, minimizing errors and maximizing customer satisfaction. You will be utilizing warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, to transport goods, and adhering strictly to all Safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE such as safety vests and gloves. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential to promote efficient operations and prevent accidents. This position requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs). Understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to provided tickets.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Operate manual or powered equipment to retrieve items from storage locations.
- Stage picked orders for quality control and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use required PPE at all times.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory or equipment.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
- Perform tasks involving physical labor, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking role is a plus.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Capability to perform frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to following Safety protocols and using PPE .
- Team player mentality.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic Logistics principles.
