Our team in Sacramento, California is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is vital for our logistics and supply chain operations. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing procedures to minimize discrepancies. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and identify items requiring replenishment or disposal.
- Oversee the process of receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend actions.
- Ensure a clean and organized warehouse environment, which aids in inventory management and safety.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to improve inventory processes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and logistics operations. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and data analysis tools. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds, standing, and walking for extended periods. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Must be committed to maintaining a safe work environment and wearing required PPE. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and contribute to team goals. Accuracy and reliability are paramount in this role.
