We are hiring an enthusiastic Picker/Packer for our Salt Lake City, Utah distribution center. In this key logistics role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products according to customer orders and meticulously packaging them for shipment. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact our customer satisfaction. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and movement throughout the warehouse. You will work collaboratively with your team to meet daily order fulfillment goals. Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick items from warehouse shelves based on order slips.
- Verify picked items for correct product and quantity.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory movement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order processing.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Must be able to perform regular lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift.
- Understanding of and adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
