This essential role ensures that all incoming shipments are accurately documented, inspected, and stored properly. The Receiving Clerk plays a crucial part in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests, noting any discrepancies.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Ensure all receiving areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company Safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and cycle counting as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, after receiving appropriate training.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics receiving role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software or data entry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
