Blossoming Kids Therapy is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping children build the skills they need to thrive. We value clinicians who blend compassion with evidence-based interventions and who believe in the power of collaboration with families.

Role Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, where your clinical skills and organizational strengths meet an uplifting, family-centered environment. Your work will directly impact children and families across our community—helping kids build independence, confidence, and the foundational skills needed for their daily lives.
You will support children with needs related to:
Sensory processing
Emotional regulation
Fine motor coordination
Visual-motor skills
Strengthening and motor planning
Activities of daily living (ADLs)
Executive functioning and school readiness
Feeding (within scope of practice)
Education & Credentials
Occupational Therapist (OT)
Master’s degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
Washington State OT Licensure
NBCOT Certification
Insurance credentialing (we guide you through this process; typically 60–90 days)
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Evaluation
Conduct comprehensive evaluations addressing sensory processing, motor skills, self-regulation, ADLs, and functional participation
Utilize standardized assessments, caregiver interviews, and clinical observation
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to developmental and functional needs
Provide written reports for caregivers, physicians, and/or school teams as appropriate
Therapy & Intervention
Provide one-on-one, play-based therapy in our clinic setting
Address fine motor development, sensory integration, visual-motor skills, motor planning, strength/endurance, and self-help skills
Support feeding, oral-motor, or sensory-based feeding challenges (within scope)
Adapt and update treatment plans as children grow and progress
Utilize a family-centered approach to maximize carryover and long-term success
Family Education & Support
Provide parent coaching and strategies for home routines
Teach families how to support regulation, sensory needs, and fine motor development
Educate caregivers on typical vs. atypical development and early intervention benefits
Collaboration & Advocacy
Communicate and collaborate with pediatricians, SLPs, PTs, educators, and other providers
Recommend supports or referrals when needed
Advocate for child success across home, school, and community environments
Administrative & Professional Responsibilities
Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant documentation
Stay current on best practices, CEUs, and licensure requirements
Manage a high volume of information with strong attention to detail
Build strong rapport with families through clear communication and thoughtful planning
Support clinic operations with professionalism, efficiency, and heart
Oversight and mentorship of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA’s)
Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with children and families in clinical and/or school settings
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
Reliability and accountability to patients, families, and teammates
Creativity, flexibility, and a love for play-based, child-led intervention
Desire to be part of a supportive, positive, and growth-oriented clinic culture
Enthusiasm for contributing to our Blossoming Kids Therapy family and the community we serve
Compensation & Schedule
Compensation: $50–$65 per hour, commensurate with experience and specialized training
Full-time (32-40 hours/week)
Flexible Monday–Friday scheduling
Beautiful, newly renovated clinic space in Tumwater, WA
