Are you ready to be a cornerstone of our supply chain? Our Columbus, Ohio facility is looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate. This role is critical to the smooth flow of goods into and out of our distribution center. You will be responsible for managing incoming shipments, verifying deliveries, and preparing outgoing orders for transport. This position requires a keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to operational excellence within our fast-paced Logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect goods for damage and shortages; report discrepancies immediately.
- Organize and store received merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders accurately and efficiently.
- Stage shipments for carriers, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using our WMS.
- Assist with regular inventory cycle counts.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Comply with all company Safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using WMS software is an asset.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Must be capable of heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and prolonged standing/walking.
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using appropriate PPE .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Understanding of supply chain and Logistics operations.
