We are hiring Order Pickers for our Columbus, Ohio facility! This role is integral to our warehouse operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled for shipment. As an Order Picker, you will utilize scanning technology and follow specific procedures to retrieve items from inventory. If you are a motivated individual with a strong focus on accuracy and safety, this is an excellent opportunity to join our logistics team.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipment.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper picking and stock handling procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to established safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform tasks involving frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing targets.
- Support the overall logistics and operational flow of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to order accuracy.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and frequent lifting.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
