As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing orders are accurately processed, packaged, and prepared for shipment to our valued customers. Your duties will include verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging materials, correctly labeling shipments, and coordinating with shipping carriers. Attention to detail is crucial to guarantee that orders are dispatched correctly and on time. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and accurate shipping processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and quality. While the primary focus is on preparing shipments, this role may involve some Lifting of packages. We maintain a strong emphasis on workplace safety, requiring all employees to adhere to established protocols and utilize necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your contribution will be vital in maintaining the smooth flow of our outbound logistics and supporting our company's growth.
- Verify outgoing shipment orders against documentation.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and ensure secure packaging of items.
- Accurately label all outgoing shipments according to carrier and company standards.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as required.
